Con un ambiente cargado de emoción, expectativa y nuevos sueños, la Institución Educativa Hans Drews Arango dio inicio oficial al año escolar 2026. Desde las primeras horas, se vivieron unas jornadas especiales que marcaron el reencuentro de la comunidad educativa y el comienzo de un nuevo proceso académico y formativo.
(With an atmosphere filled with emotion, expectation, and new dreams, Hans Drews Arango Educational Institution officially began the 2026 school year. From the early hours of the day, special moments were experienced that marked the reunion of the educational community and the beginning of a new academic and formative process.)
La bienvenida a los estudiantes estuvo llena de simbolismo y calidez: los docentes formaron una calle de honor, guiando a los niños y jóvenes hacia el lugar de formación, donde posteriormente se reunirían con sus respectivos directores de grupo. Este gesto, sencillo pero profundo, representó el acompañamiento, la protección y el compromiso que los maestros asumen al caminar junto a sus estudiantes durante todo el año escolar.
(The welcome given to students was full of symbolism and warmth: teachers formed a guard of honor, guiding children and young people to the formation area, where they later met with their respective homeroom teachers. This simple yet meaningful gesture represented the support, protection, and commitment that teachers assume as they walk alongside their students throughout the school year.)
Posteriormente, se dirigieron a la comunidad las palabras de bienvenida del rector Martin Alonso Marín y del equipo de coordinadores Mauricio Vargas y Beatriz Varela, quienes invitaron a asumir este nuevo año con responsabilidad, respeto, disciplina y entusiasmo por el aprendizaje. Así mismo, se realizó la presentación del cuerpo docente, fortaleciendo el sentido de pertenencia y confianza entre estudiantes y maestros.
(Later on, welcoming words were addressed to the community by the principal, Martín Alonso Marín, and the coordination team, Mauricio Vargas and Beatriz Varela, who invited everyone to take on this new year with responsibility, respect, discipline, and enthusiasm for learning. Likewise, the teaching staff was formally introduced, strengthening the sense of belonging and trust between students and teachers.)
Entre los estudiantes se evidenciaron diversas emociones: la alegría del reencuentro entre amigos que no se veían desde el año anterior, las sonrisas cómplices, los abrazos esperados; y también el llanto y los nervios propios del primer día para quienes llegan por primera vez a nuestro colegio. Cada emoción fue válida y acogida, recordándonos que el colegio no solo es un espacio académico, sino también un lugar donde se aprende a sentir, a adaptarse y a crecer como seres humanos.
(Among the students, a wide range of emotions was evident: the joy of reuniting with friends they had not seen since the previous year, knowing smiles, and long-awaited hugs; as well as tears and nervousness typical of the first day for those arriving at our school for the very first time. Every emotion was valid and warmly welcomed, reminding us that school is not only an academic space, but also a place where students learn to feel, adapt, and grow as human beings.)

Que Dios bendiga cada paso de este nuevo camino, ilumine a nuestros estudiantes, docentes y directivos, y nos conceda sabiduría, paciencia y amor para guiar este proceso académico y disciplinario que hoy comienza.
